has been one of the most talked about topics today. This symposium has been designed to address the topic of Sustainability
from a plethora of perspectives to endow the attendee with clarity and insight on how they can contribute to
Sustainability.

Henry Heines, Senior Partner, Townsend and Townsend and Crew. Townsend and Townsend is a major law firm in the Bay Area and Henry will be speaking about “A Legal perspective on prominent technologies for sustainability”
Paul Wermer, President, Paul Wermer Sustainability Consulting. Paul was previously active in AIChE’s sustainability initiative and will be speaking about “ Resource and Consumption perspective on Sustainability”
Wei Huang, Vice President, Engineering, LS9. LS9 is a start-up biofuel company in the bay area that is focused on applying synthetic biology to solve our energy problems. Wei’s talk is on “Renewable Petroleum™ Products and Technologies: low cost fuel and chemical substitutes”
Fiona Berry, Sustainability Analyst, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) SAIC is a major research and Technology company that has a significant sustainability practice globally. Fiona’s presentation will be on an “International perspective on Sustainability”
Brian Bateman, Director of Engineering, Bay Area Air Quality District. Brian will be speaking about “Sustainability and Air Quality”
Pat Kennedy, CEO and Founder, OSIsoft. OSIsoft is a technology company that provides IT solutions towards facility management. Pat will be bringing his insight both as a technology provider and entrepreneur to the topic of Sustainability.
